Marlee Liss is an award-winning speaker, survivor advocate, somatic educator, author, and proud Jewish lesbian feminist based in Toronto. Her groundbreaking personal journey through the North American legal system set a precedent when her sexual assault case concluded with Restorative Justice. Advocating for her assailant to attend therapy instead of facing a criminal trial, Marlee participated in an 8-hour transformative restorative justice circle that redefined healing and accountability. Inspired by this experience, she founded Survivors 4 Justice Reform, supporting thousands in healing shame and transforming trauma.
With a background in Social Work (RSW) and Somatic Sex Education, Marlee’s work has been featured in Forbes, HuffPost, Buzzfeed, The Mel Robbins Show, and more. She has delivered impactful keynotes, workshops, and training for organizations such as the US Military SAPRO, National Sexual Assault Conference, Fordham University, University of Toronto, Vanderbilt University, and Yale’s Women’s Mental Health Conference.
A trusted voice in gender-based violence policy, Marlee served on an elite panel for the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence. Her work includes hosting The Sensual Revolution Podcast, creating the Sensual Wholeness Academy for women reclaiming pleasure, and co-founding The F Comp Het Club, a 2SLGBTQIA+ virtual community. Marlee is also the author of Re-Humanize and the subject of an award-winning documentary directed by Kelsey Darragh.
